Along with that comes the ability to hear the voices of the recently deceased. Once she's absorbed energy she can store it to be used later as concussive blasts. She gets a little bit of a thrill from being near someone as they die as the power absorption feels quite good. Parents: Nina and Lewis Jacobs Siblings: None Personal History: Threnody grew up in a somewhat average home, living a normal enough life until she hit puberty and absorbed the energy of a woman living next door to her family. She found herself drawn to local hospitals and nursing homes but when she started hearing voices she thought she was going insane. Afraid of the reactions of her parents she ran away and ended up living on the street, seeking out people at death's door, of which there were plenty, especially in the winter. One night she found a woman who had been stabbed and was on the brink of death. The police arrived and grabbed Threnody to question her and in her own defense she fired off a few blasts, knocking the cops away. Soon after she was approached about coming to the Westchester school. She never made it. Mojo snatched her before she could get there. She got away from his holding cells when Forge found her and she's been on the move with his group for two years.
